Back in the 1950s it was sometimes said, only half in jest, that Albion always fell away from promotion towards the end of the season because the directors didn't want the extra expense of travelling up north if we got into the 2nd. division - a suspicion somewhat reinforced in the last season of Division 3(S); Division 3 would involve longer travel journeys anyway, so Albion decided they might as well get promoted.
It almost feels like that now - we really don't want all that extra travel again!

I started typing this when we were 2-1 down! Now, of course I unreservedly take it all back! I will take all the credit though! :thumbsup:
