Well I don't care what the moaners say, I'm enjoying it. Scored a goal, conceded none and the sun is shining. But sure, Fab out along with half of the squad who are, let's face it, only playing because of the injuries.
Still don't care about the moaners. Keep the facking faith :albion2:

Still not sold on Fab. Very rocky performances against two crap teams at home in Leicester and West Ham. Yes we have injuries but our game management and some of our play v poor.

Let’s not dwell on that tonight though, phenomenal end to the game and 2 stunning goals - happy days!
We've scored plenty - this is our second highest (the RDZ season being the highest, obviously). If he can sort the defence out, then we'll be fine.

No need to over analyse this… we all know the problems… we do, all of us… but…

Let’s allow ourselves a night to enjoy beating GP (again) in a way we probably couldn’t have written, even at our most jilted ex murderous plot worst… I mean…

Beautiful, just beautiful.

Poor old Graham.

Can anyone explain to me what Hurzeler’s game plan is defensively? There’s no shape, no one takes control and no one seems to have any idea what they’re supposed to be doing. ‘Try not to concede, lads’ appears to be the extent of what they’ve been told.
The "game plan" had to accommodate 50% of our back four being midfielders - it was never going to be perfect FFS. First goal, WH changed their shape with Bowen dropping deeper and wasn't picked up by Ayari, plus we had a CM playing left side CB and Pervis was doing his now "usual". Maybe with Baleba playing the holding role he'd have snuffed it out, but hey ho, he was playing out of position (you can't have everything)

Second goal, give credit to the cross from Bowen, but again Soucek was Ayari's man. Not having a dig at Ayari, that was his best game in stripes for me.

What's concerning is the joy they got down our left hand side, where we had an established LB, as opposed to a makeshift CM at RB. Pervis is jumping in and selling himself far too often these days - I doubt that's an instructions from FH.

Anyway the bi-polar and knee jerking reaction from plenty on here is firmly ensconced in just this one thread - what a game of football!

It has, that is the first time since the q/f defeat that we showed real spirit and intent.
A, not true, Villa was a great end to end game, Leicester all over them, Palace was a good game too, just the rivalry affects all analysis.

B, you can't make decisions on keeping / sacking a manager based on such short timespans. One single game with 'spirit and intent' shouldn't change anything if you want him gone. You're just being kneejerk, it's daft

Jesus aren’t I allowed to be happy - endless barrage of FAB out posts when WHU equalised before the final whistle even went - just saying we were always in with a chance of turning it round.

We just won a match after 5 games without a win by two fantastic strikes. We fought hard for a crucial win and played some great one touch football.

No not perfect with lulls throughout but we WON.

- I’m celebrating the win and not letting anyone take that moment away!

Of course you are allowed to be happy, we are all happy, it’s a tremendous result.

Why does your happiness have to include slagging off other posters though? It’s as bad as those who want Fab out, that there always ends up being digs by those who want to defend him. I’m f***ing sick of both sides.

Football, bloody hell.

My stream went down in the 88th minute...

WTf happened?! I didn't think we deserved to lose but i didn't think we'd score twice in the dying minutes to snatch victory form the jaws of defeat.

We're clinging onto the European dream. Shame Saints are so shit they couldn't even manage their twelfth point o the season despite leading at half time. The incompetent nobbers.

Christ what happened there. One minute losing 1-2 then wham and bam we are winning 3-2. Great stuff, it's what dreams are made of.
But apart from our defensive lapses, we were competitive and positive all game I thought. The 20 minutes after they equalised was excellent. So, I guess it's no real surprise we scored again - it's not as though we hadn't been pressing and looking fairly likely. But that extra 5% of effort in the last five minutes turned the tide.

It doesn't matter whether you're Fab in or out because Bloom will not get rid this year.
We have to clone Baleba (twice) in the summer so he can play at 5, 6 and 8 next season
If we want him playing three positions next season, I fear we'll have to clone him more than twice.

You are correct - I’m still perplexed that we didn’t sign another CB last summer but although the personnel available isn’t ideal presently I’m still not convinced on our defensive setup as a whole even when our best players are available.

Indeed. Pervis seems to have morphed from being a left back that can overlap and attack, into a midfielder who occasionally bothers to defend.
