David Gilmour's armpit
We're too sophisticated these days, aren't we?
Back in the day, rocking up at the ground, seeing five goals and coming back from 2-1 down with two goals in the last five minutes to win 3-2, we'd be buzzing - and rightly, it doesn't get much better than a last minute 3-2 win.
Now, however, we worrying about getting opened up down our left, playing two midfielders in defence - and will we carry the form on to the next match or was this a flash in the pan,,,......blah, blah, blah, etc, etc. Somehow (along with VAR of course) sucking some of the instantaneous joy out of it. Analysing it too much and all that.
Oh well, great result, I'm happy this evening, and looking forward to MOTD (even if the morons don't make us the first match!)
Exactly - it's not that often we see us make a comeback like that, and I certainly wasn't expecting it. That said, to quote a Sabbath album/song...never say die.

I was thinking along those lines in the queue for the train afterwards. A stoppage time winner in a 3-2 win and something was missing for me.

I feel genuinely sorry for Brighton fans that can’t find it in themselves to be happy for a win after a dry run and can’t enjoy the moment.

Plenty of time for arguing for the manager to be sacked but straight after a very important win when others are celebrating?

I don’t much care how we did it.

Potter’s face was a glorious picture to
behold when we came back from what he thought was a win. I shall muse on that as I enjoy a lively glass of chilled white wine. Adios 😂
It is quite possible to be both happy with the result and understanding of the fact that, if you have concerns about the direction of the team, this doesn't really change anything. You might be better off not feeling genuinely sorry for other fans or plaintively asking if you're even allowed to be happy and actually, you know, celebrating the win. If this is the way you celebrate, carry on.

Honestly if we could play well for 90 minutes consistently we’d be in the Champions League without a doubt. It’s short periods of great football- energy, passing, quality in attack followed by long periods of absolute garbage. Once again for long periods we were garbage, but when we were good, we were really good. This team and this manager is an enigma.

I really enjoyed today’s game. Thought there were a lot of good performances out there.
Felt a little sorry for Mats after some poor defending allowed them to equalise but he gets a pass given it’s not a comfortable position for him.
Sadly, and I’ve been saying it for a while, Pervis is now a liability at the back… His legs have gone and his diving into tackles to cover up his weaknesses could have really hurt us. Been good for us but it’s time to move him on.
Delighted with the deserved win.

I don’t think my concerns with the defence could be described as knee-jerk. They’ve been there all season. It’s the one massive flaw with FH. Everything else has either been very good or okay. If he can sort the defence out then we’re almost there.
A massive flaw that has seen us lose only 9 (nine) games this season and have matched our second best points tally in our history in the PL with 4 games to go 🙄

And don't give me that nonsense that someone has spaffed £200m up the wall (not FH) and that he's failed to adapt with an injury crisis meaning 50% of our back 4 were midfielders, not for the first time this season.

You must have incredibly high expectations!

Jesus, I’ve hardly said I’m not happy with how we’ve done this season, and I haven’t even mentioned the £200M. I just think we’ve conceded a lot of incredibly poor goals this season. I really don’t see how that is arguable. And I don’t think FH has got it right in terms of how we’ve set up defensively a lot. It’s a simple as that.
