Talking of tactics…left footed Minteh switching to the left wing/Gruda & Wieffer on the right/ Mitoma in the middle…Interesting.
Nah he's clearly just joking around meaning there's no tactics you can coach that will account for a player smashing it in from 30 yards.I thought Dunk's post-match interview was interesting.
On the winner he said.
"We've worked on tactics needing a goal in the last minutes of the game. And that wasn't the tactics. He's put it in the top corner and the gaffer can't say nothing"
Maybe reading too much into it, but it doesn't sound like a ringing endorsement of Huerzeler's tactics.
West Ham view……watch Bart‘s reaction
I was very happy with the commitment and grit we showed yesterday. A massive improvement on the last few games imo. You can’t ask for more than that with the injuries we have and even if we’d lost I’d not have been anywhere near as pissed off as I have been recently.I know I could upset the bed wetters who constantly slag off the team, the manager
Etc, but let’s give our team some credit, we had 6/7 ‘regulars’ out and won a game. The defence has been criticised but Dunk
And Baleba were immense today. First conceded goal was very poor defending but give West Ham credit, second goal
Was a very good cross which any defense would struggle with. Let’s have some positive vibes and to the people that abused Dunk on here, please hold your heads in shame and to the people who left because we were losing or wanted to get to the Terrace early please go and support another team.
Mitoma would like a word about the last part of your post.Just watched the highlights.
Got to feel sorry for Yasin, scores a worldie for his first goal for us, and then Carlos scores the goal of the season in the same game.

Well that is a moot point. And probably worth a thread.Mitoma would like a word about the last part of your post.
Pervis has to deal with the first ball. In years gone by we have laughed at “why did you let it bounce” - same applies.Just watched the MOTD highlights, that cross in from Bowen for their 2nd is an absolute beauty. Good pace on it, dropping just over the centre backs, and into the danger zone before the keeper. Very difficult to defend those, especially when there's that giant Soucek getting on the end of it.
So right. Last week we could (and should) have got a penalty to bring us back to 3-3 with 10 men but we all left Brentford in a fog of gloom. We were a couple of penalty kicks away from the semis and yesterday a shot that 9 times out of 10 goes into the stands ends up in the back of the net and we're all happy again. Fine margins indeed. As you could say every week, it’s a game of fine margins.
Imagine this board if the ball skims off Gruda’s head for a goal kick and we lost 2-1.
Then Weiffer and Hinshelwood refuse to deal with the cross.Pervis has to deal with the first ball. In years gone by we have laughed at “why did you let it bounce” - same applies.
Oh yeah, absolutely. But just saying that cross is a thing of beauty.Pervis has to deal with the first ball. In years gone by we have laughed at “why did you let it bounce” - same applies.
Don't know about a cry, but if he has a cat, it had better get out of the way of him. There's a dark side to him that we saw when he was with us. The rage including at questioners doing their job was scary at many points. And no, I don't hate him. I have all the respect for him that he has for us.Love that Potter interview I hope someone passed him a tissue so he could have a good cry after that
Back next weekNoticed Georginio jumping around & dancing with everyone in the final whistle celebrations and out on the pitch. Injury cant be that bad.
