Shame he WASTED that goal shooting from right to the left (camera position).

A TRUE talent would know that you want to score that kind of shot in the other goal so that the camera angle is behind the shot and can show more of the bend

Amateur.

I absolutely realise that Baleba won't be an Albion player long term. And I think he really has to work on his consistency and cutting out the odd mistakes.

But if we sell him in the summer or next January, that would have the potential of ruining the season for me personally. He is an absolute joy to watch. Fans deserve another season of his supreme entertainment at an absolute minimum.

I've posted on this thread but will post again, he is the best ever player to play for Brighton.

I don’t think I’m going to ever stop watching that goal. Possibly the greatest thing I’ve ever seen on a football pitch!

He’s our best midfielder and also our best defender. I think if we played him up front or on the wing, we’d probably find out he’s our best striker and winger too. A unique talent.
I’m not sure the nose bleed he got yesterday after that run backs up the idea that he’d be any good as a forward 😉

Otherwise totally agree. To be honest, he made some mistakes yesterday jumping in ahead of forwards when he didn’t need to and being outsmarted, but he’d quickly be our best CB if played there consistently. But why would you want to lose that talent from our midfield?

I fully agree but the bids will definitely come in this summer and if they meet our valuation it will depend on Baleba because we won't keep him against his will.

I think Pedro (Liverpool) and maybe Mitoma (CPL club like Newcastle) are the likely departures but your point stands. If his head is turned by the inevitable interest, he could be gone.

What's he on wages wise? A bit of research suggests it's around £15k a week so imagine what a bigger club might offer him? High time we gave him a new contract and made him one of the higher earners at the club, if only to get another year or two out of him.

I’d be surprised if Pedro joins Liverpool. They including Slot require players who put in a shift every game.

Agreed - definitely more a West Ham type signing if they give a new manager a wad of cash

We have a big problem because it feels inevitable he will be player of the season and do we have to go back to Shane Duffey to find a player who didn’t leave that summer?
Just do what we all done, we all voted for James Milner as player of the season, guarantees one of the wage bill, and he would be our top pick for that.
