I completely understand that, but it can largely be mitigated by listing very close to kick-off.Ive posted previously i know a STH doesnt wanna list a ticket because if game doesnt go ahead (postponed abandonded etc) you cant claim.it back. Not sure what the solution is here as I can see both points of view. As far as im aware he hasnt missed a match so far this season but 2 games and a warning seems very harsh.
You seem to be forgetting the warm embrace we shared in the ESL concourse earlier this season ahead of a League Cup game.Since our snog in Rome, you never wrote or phoned
When was the last game at the Amex to be postponed? And your friend hasn’t missed a match. So the chances of him / her missing a game that is then subsequently postponed seem to be vanishingly small and bordering on ‘Elvis seen in Tesco Express’ territory.Ive posted previously i know a STH doesnt wanna list a ticket because if game doesnt go ahead (postponed abandonded etc) you cant claim.it back. Yes its highly unlikely. He is very principled. When was the last game at the Amex to be postponed? And your friend hasn’t missed a match. If this is their genuine reason for not listing an unused ticket then they need to get a grip, tbh
Interesting read on present day ticketing issues at Liverpool...Liverpool used to allow families to pass tickets down the line. At one stage they believed they had 26k season ticket holders of which around 500 were in the names of dead people

That’s not being principled, it’s being stupid. First of all, the chances of a game being abandoned or postponed are realistically zero. You then have to factor in the likelihood of it being one of the few games he doesn’t attend + his seat being sold + if sold, the new buyer being willing and able to attend the rearranged fixture + there being no other seats available to buy should your mate decide he really does want to go after all. He’s weighing all that against the benefit of getting the value of his ST seat refunded. I hope he’s not a financial advisor.Yes its highly unlikely. He is very principled.

I think The last game postponed was when the Queen died. Palace (H) in 2022.Probably a rhetorical question however I can only recall that infamous fog bound Cardiff match midweek.
Unfortunately he went to watch Crawley versus Charlton New Years Day and I got a right earache hearing how he couldve gone to Worthing 3g but thought this be better game only to get in the ground and find it called off 20 mins before ko so yeah it does happen. He is a loaded so not bothered whether gets money back or not. he has a season ticket for QPR so when they clash he picks and chooses what to watch i believe as when I ask in past if he is coming to a game I realize Rangers are also at home. Not sure which he favours though. That’s not being principled, it’s being stupid. First of all, the chances of a game being abandoned or postponed are realistically zero. Yes, although no resolution could be found for his Everton ticket being sold so he has to miss that one.@DarrenFreemansPerm
Did your friend resolve this by logging into his account and delisting all future matches?
Surely that's why they do this type of shit though? If your son tells them that and they say that's not good enough then that is obviously not OK. If they ask him those questions and he explains what happens then surely they say OK fine, no issues?Son got an email asking for him to do a survey because he has missed 4 home games. He hasn't it's 3.
I did the survey for him as his account is registered to one of my email accounts.
He missed 2 because his wife was on life support in hospital, hardly going to think about listing his ticket. The other time was because I was ill and he travels with me. I reminded them he's been to 10 away this year. In 10 years he/we have missed around 10 games in total.
I hate this type of shit. If they allowed you to register another family member or friend (limited) for free they might just gain new supporters over time.
Why do fans need to be questioned? Things happen in life where football is just a pass time, and the last thing anyone thinks of, is informing the club. A friend of mine told me yesterday, she was questioned by the club as to why she hadn't attended several games. She gave birth to a baby, who was then very ill and readmitted to hospital.Surely that's why they do this type of shit though? Sadly TB it's all about the money now. Years ago I just used to pass mine onto family and friends and this in some cases ended up with new ST holdersWhy do fans need to be questioned? Do you really think the main thing on her mind was to inform the club?
I can understand the club wants bums on seats, but surely a bit of humanity and leeway from the club wouldn't amiss.
Well, after 61 years, they've lost mine.Sadly TB it's all about the money now. Years ago I just used to pass mine onto family and friends and this in some cases ended up with new ST holders
I think that game was actually postponed quite a few weeks in avance because of planned rail strikes. From memory the rail strikes didn't go ahead in the end, but the postponement remained, much to the annoyance of Palace fans as we were managerless (and coaching staffless) at the time. However the Queen died so it became irrelevent.I think The last game postponed was when the Queen died. Palace (H) in 2022.
The last game postponed for weather was indeed Cardiff in 2016 - just over 8 years ago. I think it’s the only postponed Amex league game for weather.
