Hooray, let's all be positive about us pissing the season up the swanny, losing to our arch rivals again as they march on to Wembley, and possibly seeing the last ever game for Mitoma in the stripes now he's crocked like half the squad have been for the last 18 months. No, let's be positive because we're not going down and have a swanky new bar to pay 16 quid for a burger in (as long as we get there four hours before kick off, and have an Amex card).

What a time to be alive.

Also that Georginio was secretly on North Stand Chaps & Rutter was sometimes, but less often, on Noth Stand Chips.

We are still in the top ten in the EPL, one of our four best ever seasons guaranteed,

And some people are speed-dialing the Samaritans.

In the immortal words of Simon Day, pull your knickers up and make me a cup of tea.

I'm beginning to think you're a bit thick if you think a pessimistic prediction is making something up. Btw the bloke came off injured and missed the following game, nobody was making anything up. Clown.
I have always had you down as a sensible chap.

If you are having some off-field issues, I'm sorry.

But, for f***'s sake, WRT the Albion, get a f***ing grip.

Grizzling is one thing. Lashing out after the Mitoma Resurrection, well, crikey

It is Easter, after all

I'm not negative about our beloved football club. All in all as alluded in a post above, we are top 10 Premier league, something that I never believed would happen in 50+ years of supporting us. Cup final in 83 was highest chance of glory I'd ever thought I'd see. Qualification for a European competition was a dream come true but, its the fact that we are able to do it again this season yet we've just lost our way just when we had a great chance this season to make history again.
For us to have so many international players again, is something I never thought I'd see, sell a player for over 100 million, have a world cup winning player etc etc

I was delighted with the Mitoma news and frustrated by the accusation of making something up. Although...maybe not a sensible chap! 😅

We aren’t punching above our weight as some seem to think, TB has invested millions of squid into project Brighton, we’ve paid £16.5m in agents fees spent a quarter of a billion in transfer fees in one window.
Whilst all of the above doesn’t guarantee success it’s hardly a fairy tale.

We had a good chance to make the champions league this season no doubt about it.
I’m not going to say why I think we didn’t that has been done on other threads although it was definitely in our own hands at one point.

That's the annoying thing isn't it. It Was in our own hands and literally, 3 games ago😪

We DId have a chance to make the Champions league.

We failed because we have a manager who is totally out of his depth.

The lickers cannot keep blaming injuries
Injuries obviously have played a part and the manager has been hampered. Perhaps tactically inept at times? Some substitution decisions? Game management in certain games have cost us minimum of 4 (actually 6 if include last week) but that's down to the players as well. Thinking the game was won (Wolves home Leicester away and again, Leicester last week). Last week was only a lead by a goal but seemed once we went in front again the team thought it was won.

Before that, if we hadn’t dropped points in the manner we did against some really poor sides the last four games wouldn’t have been so disastrous. I’m going to say it whilst not on the pitch the manager has had some clueless moments. My old Saturday morning manager wouldn’t have made some of those clangers 2-0 up with minutes to go and committing so many bodies in attack was well Sunday pub league level.

I listened to an interesting NBA podcast about some of the worlds best players and what they want from a coach. They don’t need pep talks or buzz word speeches as they are already pros at the top of their game, all they want is on court direction and a game plan that wins games. Individual development is also important can this coach make me a better player.

I suppose a good example in football is Liverpool, AS has changed tactics gone is the mental but exciting Klopp ball to a more pragmatic approach and it’s working.
