Yes after the Leicester game. Not toys out of the pram, instead a relaxed mindset that this available squad is done, if LCFC can tear us apart, we really are sh1t. For the final 6 games anything will be a bonus, mixed with gallows humour p-taking of the joke that is our formation, tactics and Dad’s Army defence.

I have (and yesterday was the final straw) but, in spite of everything, if out of the blue we suddenly get a lucky win to boost confidence and get a couple of players back we can still quite easily get eighth which is ridiculous given how awful we have been since the international break.

No. Although I’m annoyed with FH and the players, we are still in this.

The PL is really poor this year, and a good win against West Ham and Wolves, will set us up nicely for Newcastle and then Liverpool.

Very doable,

Wolves and Newcastle will win, Newcastle could be a big score. Both have pace to burn.

Months ago a team of individuals poorly coached aren’t going to achieve anything.
When the shop window is open against the big boys I see some effort not for the good of BHA though.

It's not just dependant on us, but the others in immediate proximity. A win or two here and there for us and it's obviously possible.
For that reason alone, no way on God's green Earth have I given up - and I trust the players and manager feel the same way.
I know you’re an old timer (or I think you are?) so your positivity is refreshing! It’s like I was when I was young before I got ground down by much more disappointment than joy at football matches. It does make the great escapes or unexpected late runs particularly special though. I really hope that you are right

I really did travel to Brentford optimistic yesterday, thinking our recent form was a blip and that the winning formula would kick in.

More fool me sadly.

But I wasn’t prepared for the players out of position, the inability to do a single good thing or make any telling passes even with loads of possession on the edge of the Brentford box - and then ludicrously open on any counter.

It’s over

No not quite yet - whatever ‘giving up on the season’ means - failing to get Europe? Win silver? Get a top 8 finish’? Beat teams at the bottom of the table? Nothing new there then in our long history with the exception of 2022/3.

I will continue to go to matches and cheer on my team and willing them to do better.

I’m close to giving up on NSC though - 🙂How many new threads and polls is this now since yesterday caterwauling and bemoaning our poor player performances, recruitment failure, manager, injuries and yet all asking the same leading questions and seeking affirmation of the OP’s POVs with the same posters repeating the same thing across multiple threads.

Not particularly optimistic nor particularly pessimistic- circumspect and tbh slightly bored with it all.
