Maybe we as supporters should pick this match as one to ALL list our tickets even if you could go.
Yeah, me and the boy will stay at home watching it on TV with a microwaved curry and a can of Skol while you’re on your way to Ayia Napa

As is e'er the case, the Monday night MIGHT suit some folk better.Maybe we as supporters should pick this match as one to ALL list our tickets even if you could go.
Crowd safety would be one as Falmer station is not fit for purpose with overcrowding. I've walked back to Lewes three times due to the reduced service. But for what reason would any of these feel they can justifiably ask the PL to not have our game - at home - on a Monday night?
This.
My only surprise is the choice of game, with the likelihood of it being a totally dead rubber with both sides blowing up the lilos and dusting off the Speedos.
If your last home game is on the last game week - it’s been Sunday 4pm for 30 years. And we’ve had several of those (city, West Ham , United last season). And many clubs get weekend daytime fixtures in the match week before (ie: game 37). But this isn’t new. This will be our 4th night game to close an Amex PL season. And given it was Liverpool then it was always a strong chance it might be picked for Monday Night Football. However frustrating that is for many .Someone really has to question Sky over such issues. Yes, we want the TV money, but the last home fixtures of any side in the Prem should not be night games - simple.
Crowd safety issues because of Falmer station?? Then we shouldn’t have ANY mid week evening games. That’s never going to happen. And some supporters being unsatisfied with the change isn’t going to cut it in terms of being a justifiable reason. There will be thousands there from outside the Brighton area. I’m sure Liverpool will sell out their allocation. And before anyone says anything about them not having to travel very far … it’s scouse accents I always hear when walking past the away end before and after games.Crowd safety would be one as Falmer station is not fit for purpose with overcrowding. Also, from the club's viewpoint customer satisfaction. I'm sure the attendance will be down and the club's match day income will take a knock.
Monday 8pm kick offs don't work for anyone outside the Brighton area.
They are all on TV - but as I’ve said no surprise that might they want Liverpool as centrepiece of Monday Night Football with Carragher and Neville. Even if the title is already confirmed. And if it isn’t - bonus. This!
And just imagine the possibility of getting a result against the league champions to secure our European spot. Rings a bell somehow. They are all on TV - but as I’ve said no surprise that might they want Liverpool as centrepiece of Monday Night Football with Carragher and Neville. Not that I give a toss about the Liverpool fans, but if the roles were reversed and being an 8pm ko, I'd feel sorry for the Albion fans travelling back to Sussex or elsewhere afar. They are all on TV - but as I’ve said no surprise that might they want Liverpool as centrepiece of Monday Night Football with Carragher and Neville. And there isn’t much else in play (eg: relegation etc)
You say "some" supporter's being unsatisfied, from reading social media "some" seems to be quite a high percentage.Crowd safety issues because of Falmer station?? I do. Must be a load who have booked a weekend in town on the assumption that they'd get to see their team play over the weekend. Luckily it's a nice place to spend the weekend anyway, so Sky haven't managed to completely f*** them overNot that I give a toss about the Liverpool fans, but if the roles were reversed and being an 8pm ko, I'd feel sorry for the Albion fans travelling back to Sussex or elsewhere afar.
Yes ‘some’. This on social media are generally the ones that like to shout loudest about something … including on NSC. Even if you’ve seen 50 or 100 comments on social media - as a percentage of the likely crowd, that’s tiny. You say "some" supporter's being unsatisfied, from reading social media "some" seems to be quite a high percentage.
In most businesses customer satisfaction is a big issue, in football it's all about the money and stuff the fans.
Did you see the mess at Falmer station for the Liverpool cup game this season? That queue would now go up to The Terrace Bar, is that safe.
I'll get into training over Easter for the walk back to Lewes rather than squash in on the bridge.
