This is why I am giving up my season ticket.
Too many games at rubbish times and to do this for the last home game of the season is taking the piss in the absolute extreme

Sky rule the roost. Season tickets increasingly becoming devalued. Can see in the future tickets being given away to fill up grounds for TV.
STH just provide a colourful backdrop to Sky's faux excitement. Damn right ST should be next to free of charge. Drop in the ocean of every EPL's income, they're all swilling around in obscene levels of televised riches. Good luck to them. And also fvck them. Best remember where they came from because they're mostly going back down there sooner rather than later. And that includes the Albion. Buy Cheap! Sell At A Handsome Profit! Replace With An Inferior, er, Replacement! strategy has a limited lifespan...

I’m hoping the league title has been won before this match, Liverpool winning the title at The Amex will be unbearable.
This. Hanging around til about midnight to see Liverpool's assistant catering manager be presented with their medal before our lot - with or without sleepy gaggle of kids - were able to embark on their lap of appreciation would be a complete nonsense, even if anybody could be arsed to hang around for it. Just say no, kidz :nono:

I think they have a home game the following weekend, they can wheel the tea lady and car park attendants out at Anfield. I don’t want to go through all of that again :annoyed:

If Liverpool do win it that night I'm pretty certain they'll have the Trophy presentation at Anfield the next Sunday!

In the three equivalent penultimate midweek evening games in the PL, they were all crucial and all examples of us raising our performance - in 2018 - beat Man Utd to stay up, 2021 - beat City in the PL for the first time, 2023 - drew with City to get a Europa League place.

So yes. We are.
Those sides aren’t the current side.

The prospect of being marooned at the Amex beyond 10pm amongst a load of insufferable gloating coked-up scouse (both plastic and scally)...mnaah. ESPECIALLY if we "obligingly" play YNWA over the tannoy. I would literally end up vomiting into my Bovril cup.

Sky are cesspits. ‘Football is for the fans’

Might as well say f*** the working class and their kids, it’s a joke.

Giving up my ST to help save for a house deposit primarily but the constant changes to KO times at unruly hours has been a factor.

On the pitch the recent changes from the money has been fantastic, but from a working fans view being a ST holder and going to the odd away game is becoming more of a money drain in recent years. Certainly doesn’t bode well for the younger generation (and I’m only in my late 20s)

Thx. The point i was responding to was along lines of arguing we are “not known “ for raising our game in big matches. So I listed a few equivalent games where in fact we had. There’s also plenty this season with this team …but fair enough if you disagree with that.

But yep - correct! Not in the last 2 weeks. Nobody , me included, would want to sit through those 4 games ever again !

If the club say something then they’d be criticising Sky. Sky don’t pay billions to then get criticised for getting what they paid for.

The only thing that can be done about it is for fans to cancel their Sky subscriptions.
Why anyone pays money to these greedy subscription services beats me. All games can be streamed very easily for free.

The most awful experience was when Citeh won the title, had to leave before the platform came out.
Thankfully it looks like Liverpool will win it next Sunday v Spuds, so little concern of another trophy presentation on the hallowed turf.

So I've just looked at the remaining fixtures.
Why are game 34 spread over 6 days? Man City v Villa Tuesday, Arsenal Wednesday, the also rans Saturday and the big clubs Sunday?
This is the first week Liverpool can win title, and at home to Spurs, probably will.
Week 35 is over 5 days!! Arsenal first on Saturday 17:30. Liverpool Sunday 16:30.
Week 36 is Liverpool v Arsenal. If they haven't won the title yet it will be today.
Week 37. All matches moved to Sunday/Monday (Chelsea/Man Utd Friday). Arsenal play at 16:30 and Man City at 19:00. There's no reason why they couldn't move the Arsenal game to 14:15 and BHA to 16:30. Live at 14:15 are Villa/Spurs and West Ham/Forest. Move one of them to Monday. Sky do have Man City/B'muf Sunday at 19:00 and guess they'd not want any Liverpool celebrations to merge into this game.

I get the point you were trying to make, but the current team doesn’t have that record. In fact, I’d argue we have a record of bottling big games - the FA cup, both Palace games.
