I disagree with your take. I remember historically, you're as keen to criticise as I am to praise
That’s nonsense - I praise players when they play well and highlight when players haven’t played well, in my opinion - this is a football forum after all. No players are perfect, and pointing out when someone doesn’t play well is fair. I’ve given Veltman a ton of praise over his time with us, I just know where he’s limited and accept that playing him offers us defensive solidity but weakens us offensively compared to other options in his position. But unfortunately, he seems immune to criticism on here, even when he doesn’t have a good game, and even when the weaker aspects of his game are pointed out.

Which is why I made the original joke, because out of the two of us, it’s you that seems to lack the balance in your opinion where he’s concerned.

Like I said.
(on Veltman) I disagree

Veltman has more assists in all competitions this season (2) than Estupinan (1) and Hinshelwood (1), with a cross accuracy of 35% of 23 crosses successful, compared to Hinshelwood’s 23% of 26 crosses in the Premier League.

Gone backwards under Fabian. Right back experiment needs to end. Hopefully lamptey is released and we spend big on a right back. Veltman as the back up.
Is that the same Lamptey ranking 6th in goals scored this season and 6th in assists this season?

Even so, we cant rely on Lamptey given the amount of injuries he's had. I would be looking for a new first choice right back.

Unexpected icing on the cake from the greatest FB at defending in the club’s history (my version from 1976).

Our best player, in my opinion. Completely different team when he plays. In terms of influence, nobody in the squad makes the difference he does.

Great view of half of home games from the NS, we’ve literally seen a succession of right sided Albion CB‘s look so comfortable with the insurance policy of Veltman next to them. And incredibly frustrated PL left wingers, in Velts pocket.

I wonder what position he’ll end up.
I don’t think he’s a RB or a DM long term. Feels more like Gross at his best (or supposedly O’Riley), a kind of inside rightish midfielder.
