I think most are, Richard, Lycett, Joe W, Carr, Bob M, love Harriet.
The thing is, comedy is subjective (as this thread alone shows). So another person (not necessarily me) could say that James Acaster, Romesh Ranganathan, Kevin Bridges, Josh Widdicombe, Michael MacIntyre, Sarah Millican, Rosie Jones, Tim Vine, Greg Davies and Lee Mack are 'easily the best of British currently'

I am looking forward to watching this. On the Albion podcast Joe Wilkinson was clearly in awe of the incredible Sean lock. Such a shame he is no longer with us because he was a comedy genius.

Watched it last night and I'm in the camp it's ok but not amazing. I fell asleep before the end of the last episode, not sure I'll bother to go back to see who wins. Bob Mortimer, Lou Sanders and Joe Wilkinson were good, the rest I could take or leave including Jimmy Carr. Not sure why Rosin Conaty was even there.

That said nice to watch a comedy programme on television that doesn't have Romesh Ranganathan or Rosie Jones in as they appear to be on everything at the moment.

I’d say MOST of those better than MOST of the Prime show cast but also more expensive to hire! As you say though, comedy is massively subjective. My A team would be made up of picks from each list but I’m certain my list wouldn’t exactly match anyone else’s.

You are totally right about comedy being subjective.

Interesting reserve list there! I do wish James Acaster was in the show though, I love him. Josh Widdicombe is an odd one, I really like him - he's a good presenter/guest on shows and the sort of bloke I'd like to go to the pub with but I just don't find him anywhere near as funny as the likes of Acaster, Mortimer and Wilkinson. I never think of Widdicombe as a comedian, more of just an all round good egg. Lee Mack and Kevin Bridges are ok, Tim Vine has his moments but don't find anyone else on that list that funny.

Agree with the general sentiment about Sean Locke, such a sad loss. Another unbelievably and effortlessly funny man.

That's exactly my point. You'd never get a show with 10 comedians that everyone would be happy with. I can take or leave a few of the ones in this show, for example.

I must admit I added Romesh and Rosie in as potential grenades because those two in particular come in for a LOT of abuse. Personally, I think they are great. Again, goes back to my point!

It was OK. Funny at times but often just uncomfortably awkward. I don't think they had enough filmed material for 6 episodes.

I watched an episode to see what all the fuss was about. Rubbish. Designed for those of limited intelligence.

It was excellent. Bob Mortimer is of course one of the all time greats but the others were more than decent too. Very funny at times.

I wasn't abusing either of them (I can do if you like ;) ). Merely pointing out they appear to be on everything that is on Sky/BBC/Dave/Comedy Central at the moment
Do what you like – I couldn't care less. I just thought it was funny that the two specific comedians I highlighted from that list of 10 were mentioned by name by someone in a negative way!

West is BEST
I have now seen all available out of curiosity.

Like any program where you place celebrities into a confined space and assign them tasks to do etc, they all end up doing their schtick.

I thought it was beneath Mortimer. The rest of them could have been any shit contestant on Celebrity Big Brother.

In fact the whole thing reminded me of a task on BB.

Pretty grim viewing.
