Mac Allister for me. Best in my 60 years watching Albion. Never thought he would miss.
From memory averageAshley Barnes … what was his pen record?
I liked MaCallister's pens the most. Hard, accurate and generally into the roof of the net, giving the keeper next to no chance even if he goes the right way. Successful as they were, Hemed and JP's method of committing the keeper before rolling the ball in makes me nervous. I'm quite glad that JP has gone a bit more traditional in his recent pens.
Bit more than helping out…….it’s his jobTomer & Pedro def certainly in recent times. Also nice to see Tomer living back in Hove with his family helping out with coaching at the club.
I think this is genuinely why England have been so unsuccessful at penalty shoot outs over the years.I liked MaCallister's pens the most. Way out in front? . . . though of course the majority of Tomer's would have been scored in the Championship.Thank you. I knew Pedro was way out in front.
I know that Gus used to turn his back everytime he took one. Too nervous to watch!Ashley Barnes … what was his pen record?
I've tried working this out as well. Does he send the keeper the wrong way, or is he waiting for the keeper to move? Eze failed at doing the latter last week with an amusing result.I still don't understand how JP sends the keeper the wrong way such a high percentage of the time. It must be body shape as he's always looking at the ball as he hits it, so it can't be his eyes or seeing which way the keeper is moving before hitting it
I'm pretty sure Tomer watched the keeper throughout.
Before my time as a player sadly.Brian Horton

He took 15 penalties for us - he scored 10 and missed 5.Ashley Barnes … what was his pen record?
5/5 I think.I don’t think Spanish Dave missed one? I’m not sure how many he took though.
And of course he took, and scored, the infamous penalty against Palace that was disallowed for encroachment by Palace players - and missed the re-take. Which led to much of the whole Palace thing.Brian Horton
IIRC the one Le Tiss save was Mark Crossley who had a great record at saving penalties. I believe he also spent a lot of time studying penalty takers so that he could read them.Found an article from 2023 on all time in Prem
Yaya Toure 11/11
LeTiss 25/26
Danny Murphy 17/18
Ben Roberts was pretty good5/5 I think.
Can we do goalkeepers? Stockdale surely the best in The Amex era, saved 4 out of 10. All 4 were significant in the outcome of the match as well if I remember correctly.
Bart probably the worst in a very long time out of our regular keepers. Even Sanchez saved one.
