The record of MEPs was particularly interesting on BBC QT

UK MEPs appeared on the show 50 times over a period 2009-2019, but none were politicians from pro-EU parties.

In total, 45 Ukip and three Conservative MEPs featured. Infact the nicotine stained Trump fanboy appeared 22 times as a Ukip MEP, and once after switching to the Brexit Party.

When you consider the level of bias across the media its amazing the 2016 was such a slim win.

Expect a lot more Farage now his party has 0.8% of UK MPs. Its good measure of how common extreme xenophopia in the average UK constituency

You noticed that too. Every other frequently appearing Question time guest (including many far less frequent than him) had managed to make those appearances as a result of serving over 30 years as a democratically elected member of the house of commons.

Whilst he's managed to appear 36 times even before he was elected to Westminster for the first time in 8 attempts, 6 months ago. Still, i'm sure there's an explanation

Interestingly, a long way behind, the next two non sitting MPs in appearance terms after Nigel's 36 appearances are those well known Spectator Columnists and GB News/Talk TV stalwarts Isabel Oakeshott and Julia Hartley-Brewer with 13 appearances each.

You described a level of devotion that is unaffected by his actions and behaviours (aside from the example you offered) - it sounds fairly Trumpy to me , and sounds fairly culty too.

Labour are certainly up against it, which makes you wonder why they don't present themselves more effectively. As unfair as it is being held to a different standard than the Tories, you surely have to play your cards as they are played.

Tory government after Tory government achieved very little in terms of immigration whilst telling people they were the only party that could deal with the issue.

The biggest mystery about the whole thing is why people continued to believe them.

Although to be fair they do seem to have come to the realisation that the Tories are full of shit - Now they have decided that Reform and the Grifter are the answer.

The Tories who run the BBC play a very clever game. Their political coverage is heavily biased towards the right while they publish lots of stories that might be considered culturally progressive. That's why so many people accuse them of left wing bias.
