A big band is only and always only ever what is big in my tiny mind.
Or else it is just
The Beatles,
The Rolling Stones
Bob Dylan
The Who
Led Zeppelin
The Grateful Dead
Hot Chocolate
Mud
The Sweet
The Partridge Family
The Osmonds,
Girls Allowed
Boyzone
Bread
Yes
Emerson Lake and Palmer
Black Sabbath,
Muse
Coldfuckingplay
and f***ing Queen
As the great Roy Keane once said,
You can shove that (lot) up your bollocks.
Fact.

Ah, saw him play a few months ago, and his brilliant set was not only heavy on Ultravox stuff (naturally), but started-off with Marching Men by the Rich Kids, and included Fade to Grey by Visage.Midge Ure: Slik, Rich Kids, Ultravox, Visage, Bandaid

Great drummer, but his personal life and personality were a disaster.Lead in a group is an interesting one . . . . Not always or often the singer/front man. The who being a good example.
Weller lead the Jam, without doubt . . . . Mike Barson probably lead Madness?
Ian Dury was Ian Dury . . . . The BLockheads are all leaders. . . . .
Supergroups like Cream are an oddity . . . JAck Bruce leader, Clapton the rising star. Baker . . . Unmanageable loose cannon?!
You’ll also be shocked to know that I have never heard of him or any of the bands you mentionedShocked Chris Cornell hasn't already been named here. Soundgarden, Audioslave, Temple of the Dog.
Wow - you haven't lived! No clue what your tastes are like but listen to "Black Hole Sun" "Fell on Black Days" "Burden in My Hand" "Like a Stone" "Be Yourself" and "Hunger Strike"You’ll also be shocked to know that I have never heard of him or any of the bands you mentioned![]()
Just checked and Mel C did play a reserve game as prop forward for Harlequins.Ahh you re read the criteria and realised you were wrong![]()
From a quick cursory listen on youtube - Nothing to dislike but pretty dirgy in the main and nothing musically that I haven’t heard from other bands since getting into music in the mid 60s.Wow - you haven't lived! No clue what your tastes are like but listen to "Black Hole Sun" "Fell on Black Days" "Burden in My Hand" "Like a Stone" and "Hunger Strike"
Cornell also performed the Bond song "You Know My Name"
