Or maybe not…If his faith is any good he will be up and running again in the morning.
“On the third day he rose again”

Except he refused to move forward on the eg ordination of women, ordination of married men, abortion, contraception or same sex marriages instead paid lip service to such issues being resolved. He prayed for victims of sexual abuse but rebuffed the UN’s recommendations that the Vatican introduce mandatory reporting of suspected child abusers to law enforcement. It was argued the Vatican is a law unto itself basically. He always struck me as a decent, humble person - an example a lot of leaders, religious and secular, would do well to follow.
RIP
Don’t forget Darth Vader and Obi-Wan KenobiRIP. He was one of the better ones.
I think it is clear that meeting someone as ‘dark’ as J D Vance yesterday was too much for him.
First, Liz Truss finishes off Queen Elizabeth II and now Vance does for The Pope.
These are not coincidences people.
Pope JP2 died while I was there in 2005. The Vatican museum and st Peters opened as normal on the monday/Tuesday after. Closing on Tuesday evening for his body to be moved into St Peters through the square.RIP. He seemed like a good egg.
I think God must have read my Whatsapp to a friend yesterday which said he'd better not die when I go there as I won't get to see The Vatican. I feel bad for saying it now though!![]()
He was a Catholic, like or not Women’s ordination is not allowed in their faith. Islam is the same, yet we rarely see the left calling for women imams.Except he refused to move forward on the eg ordination of women, ordination of married men, abortion, contraception or same sex marriages instead paid lip service to such issues being resolved. He was a Jesuit and right wing conservative on Catholic doctrine.
But yes, championed the poor and the environment and probably one of the better leaders of the Catholic Church.
RIP
Give it Big Sam IMHOWill they appoint a permanent successor now, or go for an interim Pope until the end of the season?
