Whatever the price people will always whinge. If they had said £25, some would moan it should be £20 and had the club announced it was £20 those same people would moan that it should be £15. It's just he way of the world.
I don't think anyone is whinging. We're just discussing the maximum price point that would still ensure a sell-out for this game.Whatever the price people will always whinge. Very much this. The tickets we do pay for are normally £30 for an away day so paying that for a cup quarter final seemed reasonable.I think the fact we have so many season ticket holders makes one-off match sales a bit more difficult too.
Around 24,000 of us aren't used to having to shell out to go to a game of football very often - the season ticket direct debit just goes out with the gas, water and council tax.
Indeed. Some people on here were suggesting that an FA Cup 5th Round tie between two top ten Premier League clubs should have been priced cheaper than it was to get in to Worthing in the National League South for the Chelsea game.Whatever the price people will always whinge. How did Worthing get on against Chelsea?Indeed. Some people on here were suggesting that an FA Cup 5th Round tie between two top ten Premier League clubs should have been priced cheaper than it was to get in to Worthing in the National League South for the Chelsea game.
Having watched Worthing a few times recently, I suspect they battered them. How did Worthing get on against Chelsea?
85 expensive lounge access seats and 6 wheelchair spaces left. Thats it.Is this a sell out ?
Yes.Is this a sell out ?
And compared to the gas, water and council tax ... it's a bargain!I think the fact we have so many season ticket holders makes one-off match sales a bit more difficult too.

And on that positive note, I will pop my ticket on exchange then....Got a feeling this will go to penalties, really hope Verbruggen to have a good shootout if so. Don't think he's saved one for us... yet

On 23 February 2023, he saved all three penalties during a shootout against Ludogorets Razgrad in the 2022–23 UEFA Europa Conference League knockout round play-offs second leg, which helped his team to win the tie 3–0 on penalties following a 2–2 draw on aggregate.
Especially if there's more than one of you going....
Hopefully not as Forest have a very good record at shootouts (12 wins out of 13). We’ve won 7 out of 12 so around what you’d expect.Got a feeling this will go to penalties, really hope Verbruggen to have a good shootout if so. Don't think he's saved one for us... yet
You follow goalkeeping, so would be interested to hear your thoughts on this -- all of which are based on my impressions, rather than cool, hard stats, etc:Not for us, no.
But he has only featured in one shoot-out in his professional career - and he saved ALL of the penalties...
Wood (twice) and Gibbs-White both already beaten Bart from the spot too.Hopefully not as Forest have a very good record at shootouts (12 wins out of 13). We’ve won 7 out of 12 so around what you’d expect.

Not only is Bart yet to save a penalty for us, he tends to go the wrong way -- although this has shifted in the last few (I kept that deliberately vague) when he has gone the right way but hasn't managed to keep it out.
Other thoughts on Bart + penalties = appreciated.

He’s gone the wrong way for 6 out of 8 penalties this season.
From memory, it doesn’t look like he dives too early leaving one side of the net open either, it just looks like he’s guessed the wrong way.
My assumption would be he’s not good at reading the body language of the taker.

I heard Bart on the official podcast a few weeks ago - an interesting episode. He (or the stats guys behind the scenes) obviously put a lot of work into predicting which way the kicker will go. Unfortunately it's not easy! Penalty takers at Premier League level tend to be VERY good. You follow goalkeeping, so would be interested to hear your thoughts on this -- all of which are based on my impressions, rather than cool, hard stats, etc:
