I should imagine that this will have a knock on effect to season ticket holders wanting to sell their seat on the exchange next season, as there will be an abundance of empty seats available to the Club to sell before the exchange opens.

Somewhat nervous about the new season as two seats next to me in central WSU will have new occupants. Two mates one with health issues when climbing the stairs have succumbed to the lure of the upper east. Please note I operate a strict no dick heads policy which has worked well for many years! :)

I wonder what the cause is:
- financial pressures
- aging fan base not being replaced
- too many inconvenient kick off times
- not matching the heights of the Potter / RDZ 6th placed finish season
- novelty of the Premier League wearing off.

From a selfish point of view I’m happy that once I’m able to have a season ticket again (waiting for small children to get a bit older) there shouldn’t be any problem getting one.

I've been going through some stuff and forgot to cancel. Can afford it but priorities have changed. Luckily my nephew's like going so they can have the ticket.

- new attendance restrictions

We're very picky in East Upper as well.

I changed my seats in the upper east a few seasons ago because the person next to me was irritating as hell and, frankly, racist too. I believe he is on here. People I sit near now are very lovely indeed.

We've lost a couple of season tickets round us lately, a very elderly father who has sadly passed this season and his rather large, extremely loud 50s? something son, who is moving to where his mates are. Both were great fun and will be sadly missed

Every year this comes up and every year I think should we go 1901 ? (Car parking space and lounge is appealing), but the fact that they invited me again this year and what was it Groucho said ? So another season in the North with my knees  it is.

You can tell that something is shifting by the amount of games not selling out and going to the exchange, and then the huge amount of tickets on the exchange that dont get sold when the game finally sells out. I think finances are starting to really bite and paying over £50+ for a ticket to watch 90 mins of football, plus all the additional costs that go with it are making it less and less attractive.

If the season tickets dont sell out will be interesting to see the clubs strategy re those STH that dont turn up. Would hardly make sense to vilify and penalise them for not listing tickets, and risk losing yet another STH. I also wonder if making it really hard to pass a ticket onto a family member is also a factor. It's all good when you know demand outstrips supply but looks stupid when the ground isnt full.

Interesting one.

i have renewed ONLY because I now have an old farts ST which is at a reduced rate otherwise, with the amount of games i miss a season I would struggle to justify the cost, and the football doesn’t excite me anymore.

Of the three remaining home games, West Ham - I am playing golf down at littlehampton in the old Birchwood cup, Newcastle , it’s the day after Laura’s wedding celebration do and not sure if I will make it back from Salisbury for 2 kick off ( so I may get a letter from the Club as I won’t put that on the exchange) and Liverpool is a ball ache on a Monday night at 8 o’clock if the EDF parking is not on So I will put that on the exchange…..that means I will have missed 9 home games this year.

the guy next to me in the north stand has not renewed and he was a die hard home and away since he was a kid and he prefers to go to Eastbourne Borough ( he lives in Eastbourne and has had enough of travelling and the experience and football)

This is a shame. As an aside, I have wondered what the retention rate for new supporters like yourself is.
