Is there any finer way to spend a spring afternoon? Cycled down there just in time to see a fantastic bit of tail wagging, then a superb bowling performance to follow. All in glorious sunshine. I mean, don’t tell them but I actually got PAID for working today.

An absolutely cracking day though. Beautiful spring weather, a really good crowd in including lots from Somerset and I even got to see Adrian Harms open the Sussex cricket museum for the new season at lunch.

Genuinely can't imagine a better way to spend an April Friday. Beautiful spring weather and a compelling game that fluctuated in fortune the way that only County Championship Cricket can.

The sort of day I dreamed about when I retired. Spent in the company of a good friend and his son.

Well played FHP, whose Division One credentials I doubted.

The world seems a happier place tonight.
