You seem to be suggesting that ST holders who cannot be bothered now the season is coming to an end should he able to transfer their tickets on for free. This goes against the commitment you make to the season by buying the ST in the first place. All things considered, and there’s a lot, I think the club have got the right balance.
I didn't say those who couldn't be bothered I was commenting more on those, like the tread starter, who could not go - I realise there would be no distinction, besides 1901er who cant be bother can

Yes the topic has been done to death on NSC before but my main gripe about transferring tickets is the recipient has to be MyA+.

In the same vein that a STH gets one free transfer a season maybe anyone with a fan number can be a recipient once a season for free. If they want more than one ticket transferred to them a season then they have to pay to upgrade to MyA+. That’s my (quite reasonable imho) suggestion on the matter.

This is the point. We're not around and the people who are staying at ours looking after our cat would like to go but can't really afford it. And they don't live anywhere near Brighton either so it's not like it'll be a regular thing for them.

Joining costs £38, 38 quid per ticket seems to be a reasonable price to see Brighton West Ham?

As an aside, it's 44 for international supporters......I wonder why they are charged more?

But if you buy your seats as guest tickets you'll get the money back less a one pound admin fee, plus the difference between a matchday ticket and your discounted ST. That's a very cheap price for a Brighton ticket!

Well, it's incredibly short sighted, as there's no better way to get people hooked.
This is the point.

I took the kids to the cricket at Sussex a couple of weeks ago as it was free. They now 100% want to go back. Would I have taken the chance on tickets when they might not have liked it? Probably not.

Sure there's terms and conditions in things, to stop you passing on your ticket, to stuff but nobody bothers enforcing it because they are not actually losing out.

In the clubs case they stand to gain from people getting the bug, but as ever corporate petty mindedness predominates

The point for me is that it has enabled me to recoup hundreds of pounds when I've been unable to use my tickets, and has allowed some other Albion fans to get to a game they might otherwise have missed.

I've been lucky with having quite a high success rate when I've listed my tickets on the exchange for re-sale, but I have three things in my favour:

1. I have two tickets together. Pairs seem to sell far more easily than singles.
2. My tickets are in the WSU, so are amongst the cheapest tickets available to buy.
3. My tickets are in the front row and I think most people choose to be closer to the pitch if they can.
I've also had success all but once when listing, and that was a last minute thing against Norwich late in the season a couple of years ago I think when I woke up with COVID the day before the game, but mine is a single seat, also WSU, though nowhere near the front. (Pretty much above the dugouts so quite central which probably helps it sell.)

Who is we? I haven't

But feel free to spend your day on a thread trying to shut down a conversation if that's what makes you happy

Hey, knock yourself out!

So far you've argued that a season ticket for the Albion should be fully transferrable... because annual passes for cinemas, car parks, trains etc can easily/legally be shared. (Stop laughing at the back)

What else you got?

I think his point was that he wondered what made you The Great Arbiter of such matters. Did we miss a vote?

Or the club could just stop money grabbing and allow a free transfer, tickets been sold

FML even Levy allows this
Spurs have millions of fans worldwide, and can fill their ground with tourists passing through London.

(Also, don't all STs cost £1000+?!)

Albion barely sold 15k tickets at £15/£25 for a FA Cup game against Chelsea.

The club has to work really hard to fill the stadium for PL matches. Having free tickets floating around would make that a lot harder.
