Brighton.

But when I was at school in 1969 all of us also followed a division 1 side.
Mine was Leeds.
There was no conflict because division 3 football was a completely different game.
And, yes, I saw Leeds 'live' a few times. At Chelsea in 1970. At Southampton around 71.
Also at Palace in the late 70s, after I had lost interest, but when invited to join in with some college chums.
Same for me.

Chelsea v Leeds FA Cup final around that time. Had to choose ...

For a while, I also took an interest in Aldershot, mainly cos my best mate's sister worked for them, and I quite liked her too ...

I know it's a wind up, but I genuinely don't understand how it's even possible?

Once you become a proper fan and it's in your blood, shirley its impossible to switch clubs?

Can only guess those saying other clubs weren't really ever proper fans of those clubs, more armchair, long distance TV supporters?

After first few games on east terrace in mid/latest 70s it's only ever and could only be ever Brighton.

My STH Wolves mate used to say, I'm married to Wolves but I'm having an affair with Shrewsbury.

It is possible....

Too young to know better. In the late 70s I liked Man U, despite living in Sussex. Then in 1980 my dad took me to the Goldstone to see Brighton v Man U - first ever live game. Ended up on the North Stand and decided I preferred the team in blue. So as you say, not a real fan, but at the time I thought Steve Coppell was proper flair.
