I like Ayari, but he lacks the quality we need.

it’s astonishing that he is seemingly first choice after spending a fortune on central midfielders this season.

It's a shame we went for quantity over quality.

Does my memory fail me or was Ayari pencilled in for a loan at the beginning of the season, and with the signings of Weiffer and O’Riley joining Baleba, Hinshelwood and Milner (remember him?) it seemed as though game time would be limited. 4 of those 5 have had lengthy injury lay offs and Hinshelwood has had to spend too much time covering right back.
Ayari wasn’t supposed to be part of the picture this season, I think all things considered he’s doing a solid job.

A player who quietly gets on with the job, except tonight, where he curved in a banger.

Remember, he's ONLY 21 years old. He could turn out to be a world class player if he continues this trajectory of development.
