My main gripe is that away tickets can’t be given back to the club in the event of non-attendance. It’s ridiculous and there’s no excuse other than laziness.I only have two away points/tickets things that I really strongly disagree with, the 1901 thing, that's wrong IMO but it's the club's decision, and the scanning multiple tickets, anyone caught doing this should result in losing ALL their points and so should everyone named on the other tickets.
Whether someone gets cheap/free travel, has more money to spend or time than someone else is irrelevent, if you've been to the games and put in the miles then you deserve the points.
I find the multiple device login thing lazy by the club (probably the ticket booking software company), you would think that could easily be stopped (and should be).
Would make sense if they did a chunk at once, just another form of samplingI was asked for photo ID recently at (I think) the Forest game, as was everyone going into that turnstile. Not sure if it was just a temporary 5-
minute spot check on everyone before they moved to another turnstile, or what. I had the impression at the time it was Forest security but would they care? Maybe it was Albion guys. Anyway, only time I’ve been asked.
Assuming 200 tickets have been held back - 382 points was enough to cover the top 1500 fans.I haven't missed many this season, but still lagging it seems I'm nearing 500 but know people that have well over 500,I wonder how many are in that bracket ,would be interesting to know
you lucky *******Its luck at the end of the day when getting tier 2 tickets. I haven't done many away this season. Got tickets for Bournemouth/Palace/Brentford all in tier 2 which i didn't expect but tried anyway. Its the luck of the gods.
Wow - that is lucky. Its luck at the end of the day when getting tier 2 tickets. I haven't done many away this season. Got tickets for Bournemouth/Palace/Brentford all in tier 2 which i didn't expect but tried anyway. Its the luck of the gods.
I’ve seen it once for chap who’s son couldn’t make it
It was you, we briefly chatted. I agree with your actions,.Yeah, me, Southampton. The boy was so ill on the Friday, on the Saturday morning, I asked him again and he really wanted to go but was too ill, even though he’s 15 I could see the bottom lip go.
Me and him are always on the same points so him missing out on five points effectively meant me missing out too, so as a refund is not possible and passing it on is strictly verboten my conscience was totally clear as I scanned his ticket. Being an U18 ticket it drew the attention of a SFC steward, I briefly explained the situation and his reply was “yeah, fair enough, mate”
Not an ideal situation, and a one off, we’d never buy tickets with no intention of going (I.e the Bournemouth League Cup match)
Nah. Some fans would take the pee with this option. My main gripe is that away tickets can’t be given back to the club in the event of non-attendance. It’s ridiculous and there’s no excuse other than laziness.
Good point, the tickets only being 30 also facilitates this.Nah. Some fans would take the pee with this option.
I agree with all of that. I’ve been away to Newcastle (twice), Leicester, Villa and Forest this season (about the same last season) and plan to do Wolves. I had 361 points (twenty below tier 1) and failed to get a Brentford ticket. While I don’t like the idea of away games being closed shops, a little bit of me is pouting like a ten year old trying to be grown-up after a disappointment. Maybe next time there’s a local away game at a small ground, they could just reduce the T2 size by a teenzy-weeny bit. This thread has become a bit fixtures now as all this has been discussed over and over on NSC before. As I see it no system is perfect and none will please everyone. My only real gripe is the 2nd tier is too broad a range but I guess without that it is harder to move up the tiers.
I had a ticket to Liverpool a few seasons ago, but wasn't able to attend due to a rail strike.
Pretty sure the club still awarded me the points.
I think it was the 3-3 match under De Zerbi.
Think I read somewhere that for 26/27 it will be a PL rule that all tickets are digital with individual names recorded. With more clubs systems being fully digital this is harder now.
Sorry but as sympathetic as the situation was, it's still wrong. You've lost any moral high ground on any criticism of 'sharp' practice by any other supporter!Yeah, me, Southampton. Less likely to happen as I am sure the reason points aren't added until 7 days after a fixture is that the club are waiting for the attendance data from the home club.I had a ticket to Liverpool a few seasons ago, but wasn't able to attend due to a rail strike.

Very surprised Brentford is a paper ticket. New stadium etc. you'd think it would be nailed on.Think I read somewhere that for 26/27 it will be a PL rule that all tickets are digital with individual names recorded.
But you can’t nail on a digital ticket! Simples!Very surprised Brentford is a paper ticket. New stadium etc. you'd think it would be nailed on.
An away ticket exchange is coming. I can’t remember which podcast it was on but about 3 months ago someone representing the ticket office stated this. They are waiting for a change to the software, and I think they need a certain % of all clubs to have the capability, but it’s coming.Think I read somewhere that for 26/27 it will be a PL rule that all tickets are digital with individual names recorded.
