Why would Fab get the players he wants and DeZerbi didn’t?
The recruitment isn’t going to change for Fab.
A sensible point.
The problem now in defense is lack of alternative options.

Dunk is clearly on the wane, but I dont blame FH for playing him when the only other fit option is 'Who ate all the pies' Cashin.
Not true though. Baleba played there last week, and is rapid and would not be beaten in the way Dunk was today.
Wieffer could also play there in a three. Pervis could play there in a three.
It’s about how you frame it. Fab just seems to go ‘it is what it is’. Which is weird because he joined as a renowned innovator.

I’m on the fence for now.

i do see some hope but FH has to learn his lessons quickly. I thought he had post Forest thrashing when we dropped off and played solid first, flair second but the last 4 games we have gone back to the old ways.
If TB is to stick with the young fella, he is going to have to spend again on 3 or 4 pacy, strong defenders. We simply cannot play that high with defenders that slow

Out. Not because of our league position, because of our performances across the whole season. How many times have we actually played well? Away at Liverpool, which we lost anyway. Some decent spells in the wins agains United, City and Spurs, and we were gritty at Newcastle. That's about it. Beyond the odd 15-20 minute spells, our performances have been lacking all season.

Home performances have been f***ing godawful in the main. Games at the Amex are becoming a chore to attend. There does seem to be a correlation between people that don't think things are that bad and people that don't attend games.

Would be the highest paid employee of the club behind the CEO. Was on a four year deal worth £50m including performance bonuses (£8.3m base).

We don’t pay that money. We will never have a superstar manager come slumming, we have a wage structure we won’t absolutely smash on a “name”.
I was jesting

You could hear our fans chanting "you don’t know what you’re doing" clearly on the stream when he subbed Welbeck off.

Followed a couple of minutes later by a louder chant of "Where’s our striker gone?"

With FH being a young inexperienced manager, and with all the hype around the fact of him being so young in managerial terms when he first joined us here, I don’t think our fans have ever really got behind him.

Mutual agreement to part ways at the end of the season is what I suspect is coming
Always 'Tony Bloom's blue and white army'.

I don't think the very weird hair transplant helps in the 'not bulling an oddball' stakes, either.

However, for what happens when a manager is pushed out (wrongly in my view) owing to supporter hostility, see Steve Cooper and Leicester.

Why would Fab voluntarily leave?

I think he’s an average manager but dribbling in to 10th or 11th place or even 12th won’t get him the sack. I don’t care either way tho

A difficult decision awaits Tony at the end of the season. If he stays with FH then we could get a repeat of this season and perhaps not pick up the points against the better sides , such as we have this season. If that happens then we will be in a relegation battle but who would we replace him with ? I do think that a more experienced manager could get a better performance out of the players we have at the moment. A lot of them are not pulling their weight.

Oh good, another thread of crying whiners. If FH has Bloom's backing, he has mine. You either trust Bloom or you don't.

If Bloom sacks him, fair enough, but I suspect he won't.
If he sacks him, will Bloom be a crying whiner?

Seriously???

We have a bad run of results whilst having key players out injured and it seems most want to get rid.

So who do we replace him with ? and do we then get rid of the replacement after a bad run of games ??
It’s not the bad run of results, it’s the way we concede over and over again. Strikers missing sitters is 100% not down to FH, how we defend definitely is imo

I dont agree.

Any number of players "could play in there" but none are natural central defenders or the read the game as one.

Baleba is our best CDM, and with him in defence we are weaker in MF. Wieffer would be easily muscled off the ball by a striker with physical presence. Its also a different task away at Brentford to a team at home who hadnt scored in over 800 hours.

Dunks legs and pace is an issue, the better answer imho is to play a defensive line/system that accomodates the lack of pace in defence, not shoehorn in midfielders out of position.

and none of it made any difference with the shocking 4th goal. They didnt look like zonal, they certainly werent man to man. What the hell is going on at Set pieces? Who is responsible for the set ups?
