Broe, excellent as always. Gives Trump a history lesson on Russian occupation of Baltics (about six mins in), AND, in response to the US plan that Crimea should be legally recognized as Russian, Broe shows that Zelenskiy came back at Trump with HIS OWN Crimean Declaration, issued by the Trump administration in 2018, that Crimea is Ukrainian and must remain so (about eight mins in). Well done, Zelenskiy 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼.

You could be right as well !

We mustn't forget the possibility that the killing was down to Russians. To test the likelihood of such a scenario, I would like to ask the question:
'Who is Putin more scared of? Ukrainians or Russians?' IMO, he is more scared of the Russians. This isn't definitive of course, but just a rough guide.

Ukraine claimed to have killed the last unlucky Russian General, Igor Kirillov, who died from the scooter bomb. Russia claimed we (the British) killed him, but we can obviously discount that. The idea that it was Ukrainians was clearly too unpalatable for the Russians.

You are quite right to raise the prospect of internecine killings. Putin has a history of removing any and all domestic rivals and threats.
Excellent points of view.

And I commend you on the use of the word "internecine"

Don't get that used everyday!

You said you would end the war in Ukraine on Day One.

Well, I said that figuratively, and I said that as an exaggeration, because to make a point, and you know, it gets, of course, by the fake news [unintelligible]. Obviously, people know that when I said that, it was said in jest, but it was also said that it will be ended.
Cock.

The part about Ukraine being "reconstructed and compensated financially" is phrased to look like a concession in favour of Ukraine but its intentionally vague. It doesn't say who is supposed to compensate Ukraine. Normally it's the invader who pays reparations but they've let that crucial detail out.
Not sure how many here feel same? But I really hope that there is no deal in the present climate.

Maybe I have delusions! but I want to see Russia implode, and Putins demise, even if that's another year +

Merz fills me with hope, that however rough a US withdrawel may be, Europe + allies still have the ability to finish off Putin.

Just hope Japan's intelligence system is as good as the Yanks. Europe needs to seriously up it's weapons production and buy off South Korea andotherswhohavespare. Take Russian money NOW and give it to Ukraine for what ever they want. Ukraine need to take out the bridge, it's about time.

Absolutely. I think Ukraine would be compensated by letting the US have all their mineral wealth in perpetuity, and 5%of that would go to US reconstruction companies.
So, yes, Ukraine would probably compensate itself.
Or Trump wrote that bit in jest.

Appeasement led to WW2 in 20th Century Europe.

When Trump speaks about Zelenskyy bringing on WW3 by not accepting the imposition of Putin's victory upon Ukraine, I do suspect the opposite may well be true and that this 'peace deal' (which is in reality, is the most horrendous form of appeasement) will eventually bring on another world war, one that effectively knocks out Russia and the Western world handing the future over to China.
