    [Albion] Palace Fans Biggest Fear

I really can’t remember but I do know Noads was not best pleased at the time. TBH I had 3 young kids, 12% interest rate on a mortgage that was worth more than my house and a poll tax I couldn’t afford….football and travelling to Europe was out of the question any how.

    [Albion] Palace Fans Biggest Fear

And do you know palace finished 3rd in a European place but were cheated out of it by Liverpools early inclusion when they were serving a ban. No I haven’t seen palace in the Dam , and yes I was suitably jealous 😤

    [Albion] Palace Fans Biggest Fear

Has a deal been done then ? I don’t think anyone does elbows, I didn’t want Goldberg because you could see exactly what was going to happen, and it did. From what I understand this lot are like Testor, they buy and sell sports companies hopefully making themselves a profit, again I don’t...

    [Albion] Palace Fans Biggest Fear

Tim you do know that in the last 7 seasons Palace have finished the season above Brighton 5 times including last season and the way it’s going this season might be tight.

[Albion] Who do you hate more - Chelsea or Palace?

As a palace fan, it’s nice to be thought about 😁 Being of a certain vintage, back in the early 70s it was Leeds and Chelsea most other football fans disliked. Dirty Leeds for cheating and being well, dirty Leeds. Chelsea because they were flash with there Kings road swagger but by the mid...

    [Albion] Palace Fans Biggest Fear

I’ve got to be honest I know little about it, if it’s as simple as 2 yank and 2 Saudi investors buying Textors shares for his Eagles company that owns or part owns many sports teams then I understand what’s going on, if it’s more complicated I zone out. I don’t blame all Russians for their...

    [News] Nigel Farage and Reform

Johnson thought it was staffing money against the wall A reminder: in 2019 Boris Johnson said… “One comment I would make is I think an awful lot of money – and an awful lot of police time – now goes into these historic offences and all this malarkey, you know, £60million I saw was being...

[Albion] Still a real gut punch after all these years

As a palace fan I always have a feeling when driving past it to visit my son, but as a football nurd where ever I travel around the country or Europe I will make a point of always visiting the local football ground in what ever division the team play in….as Mrs Loz often says “ why “

    [Football] The big London clubs

My Mum from Streatham and my dad from Penge would agree with you if they were alive, but, Croydon became a London borough in 1965, and most Croydon records are held by the Croydon Local Studies Library and Archives. In 1965 more of Surrey was lost to London, with the creation of the London...

Yes I know, we have had this discussion before. I would say I am like you in Brighton / Palace land and have many Brighton mates. But no Chelsea mates funny enough 😁

[Misc] Who miss their Mum ?

Lost my mum May 22, I miss her more than I thought I ever would, although in her last couple of years she had become quite awkward , she was very well traveled all over this planet as she was a keen rock climber even into her late 50s and very knowledgeable, I doubt a week goes past when I don’t...

[Albion] Leaving a man (or 3) up when defending a corner

Palace did this less successfully in their 5.1 home thrashing, but TBH I am all for it.

    [Football] The big London clubs

I would largely agree apart from the Croydon in Surrey bit , for 1 Crystal Palace play in South Norwood and 2 the district of Croydon is in Greater London and has been since 1965 ( 60 years ) it’s like saying Falmer is in Lewes.

    [Music] SHAM 69

Seen them many times in many various line ups, never really to see them if I am honest, they play many punk festivals….TBH if they were playing in my kitchen I would shut the door, and I love punk.

[Albion] 2 lucky VAR calls in last two matches?

As I often read on here about BHA have a “no dickhead policy” so how does making “ throat cutting” gestures and deliberately trying to cause harm to an opponent meet the said policy. Let’s make no bones about this that would have caused a broken jaw if not worse and by not getting a red it sets...
