Ditto. Picked up from opposite Martello. Usually went to The Cricketers which was a surprisingly decent pub in a rough area. Prediction comp on way back and laughing at Ivor and George arguing like a footballing version of Statler and Waldorf!
One of the A21 founders here mate (Kev). Happy Days eh. Ivor, George and Pete all in past tense now unfortunately.

I can’t answer the question but I know we had a lot more in the second season than the first as withdean was being touted by then and it was known that it would be season ticket holders only. I think there was even talk of moving during the season but I might be wrong on that.

I had a ST the second season

Had a season ticket at Gillingham. Lost it after a couple of games but didn't bother to get another one as could get in as a child for £2. Along with a lot of other 6 foot plus men with beards.

I had a ST for one season at The Goldstone but both seasons at Priestfield. Going against the grain here but I really liked it 🤣

Had one for the first couple of seasons at Withdean but knocked it in the head, couldn’t stand the place but then renewed when the Amex came along, had one ever since but haven’t renewed for next season.

Was 13/14 at the time so didn’t have a season ticket and was always POTG as it was cheap £5 or less I think?

We used to get a coach from the Railway Burgess hill that also picked up outside the Burrell in HH, bloke called Doug ran it I think.

Being school age didn’t miss a Saturday game over the two seasons but wouldn’t have gone midweek as we were going without adult supervision

I was a similar age. 3 mates from school had season tickets, which I managed to borrow for a few games. Only 1 of the 3 went on to get a season ticket at the Withdean and the Amex

I didn’t bother with a ST at Gillingham but had them at the other three grounds. I went to most games at Gillingham and used to pay for a cheap seat opposite the main stand and then sit in the “posh” seats in the middle.

Just far enough away from LDC
An interesting story about Gillingham was that the turnstile operators and those doing the counting of money were all employed by Gillingham. There was feelings that the attendance was being deliberately shown as lower and money being syphoned off.

After a month of this, Knight asked that before the crowd was announced it was to be brought to him in the directors box. Anyway they came up and told him it was 1700 and something to which he nodded and the said 'try again'. They looked a bit bemused until he told them he had placed clickers outside each turnstile block and he knew it was nearer 2000 and something. Funny enough they later said there was a block they had forgotten to count!

My one and only visit to Gillingham was paying £2 as a child to watch the 4-4 draw with Colchester on Boxing Day. 25p a goal. Bargain!

I stopped having a season ticket at the Goldstone some time in the '90s but still went to most games. I cannot remember whether I had a season ticket at Priestfield but only missed one home game during the 2 seasons so might have done (it helped that I lived in Ashford). Didn't bother at Withdean, mostly going to away games. But have had one for every season at the Amex even after my move to Lincolnshire.

I drew the short straw and was designated driver for both Boxing Day games.

Character building.

No idea how many, but I reckon the great majority of the home attendees were STH. There was a small die hard band who would have gone whatever. I reckon we had very few who just went for the odd game.

Had a season ticket for the first year at Pissfield. Never want to go back ever again. Was at Uni for the second year, so have a valid excuse!
I went to pretty much all the games at pissfilled, but I didn't have a season ticket.

I could wait till 2.00 before deciding whether to go to a match, and still get a pre match pint in.

An advantage of living where I do.

Shame the football was worse that the worst worseness ever to flop out in front of my face.
