We got to stop all this bullshit win as a team loose as a team, start pointing the finger at players who are making the mistakes, starting with the goalie, been making mistakes for months, manager just says we have to learn from our mistakes but obviously they don't, Pedro needs proper hair dryer treatment, manager stopped a player playing for being late to the game a while back, so Pedro needs to be punished accordingly, not just the 3 games he's going to get, hopefully it's the last we see of him.
Can we keep him just for penalties, please? :)

Saying it as it is I suppose. Europe hasn’t gone. It should have but appears no one really wants to finish 8th. He’s a top pro and a top player and I’m sure he wants to be playing European football.

To the BBC website: "We made our bed and we have to lie in it. It's not good enough," said Welbeck. "There have been so many of these performances throughout the season. We need to play far more collectively. Fight for each other more. It was evident that we weren't doing that."

When one of the leaders in the dressing room says that publicly, knowing the impact it will have, it's pretty clear that there are problems. It sounds like there needs to be a players' meeting with some plain speaking from the senior players.
Why a player's meeting? A manager and his staff sorting out what Welbz identifies as a season long problem is surely the prerequisite? This is 'coded' from Danny. He generally only speaks when speaking is necessary..

It's notable that Danny was calling out the players and not the Manager. My immediate reaction was he means Pedro but it's probably more than that. He must be very upset to come out publicly like that.

It could perhaps be that our model of picking up young bargains and then selling them on high, has the unintended consequence of players wanting to show off their individual skills rather than being team players. If so it needs some sort of correction by the manager. I still support the manager for now but he needs to remember he is the manager and be tough on players when needed. It seems to me that it's likely that the mistake in recalling Dunk when Igor and van Hecke were outstanding together might have been due to too much deference to a senior and older player.

He looked flat/despondent as well.

Solly also saying what fans have said.

Basic errors on set pieces.

Both players being real. Manager talking in cliches and psycho babble
Come on, both Wellbeck and March’s interviews are also ridddled with cliches.

They famously had one in 82/83 when Mike Bailey was struggling to attract 15,000 to home games in the top flight.

Shades of Roy Walker, Mike Bamber, who chaired the meeting told the squad ‘say what you see’, leave nothing out, so Neil McNab went first and basically told the late Chairman that he was a control freak before it was a thing, and stifled the manager, who was basically on a hiding to nothing, the season after Brighton’s highest ever finish.

He never played for the club again 🙈

Pedro has been absolutely dog shit since he got called up for Brazil in March, playing like some kind of prima donna. My 16 year old called it today - “he’s playing like he’s already at Liverpool”.
Well if he maintains his current couldn't care less attitude, and continues to run around like a demented chicken, Liverpool will lose interest.

I bloody loved Neil McNab, good for him. Never knew that!

Please don’t come at me with stats and metrics, but I am happy for Pendro to be moved on sooner rather than later. I personally haven’t been impressed by him for a while and if someone wants to give us anything north of £40m I’d take it.
Yeh he’s a bit of a bellend but I simply don’t trust the recruitment bods to find us someone better even if you gave them 40 big ones - so for me we keep him. He’ll look very good again in a well functioning team unit, which we simply don’t have at the moment

I haven't read the whole thread, so I may be repeating someone. I think this is where we are missing the influence of Lallana.

Quite, and their lies the problem.

We have underperformed, the tactics are limited, and other teams have started to work us out.

Of course the injuries haven’t helped, but the structure is poor.
