Nope merely saying that calling out individuals worked for the most successful managers possibly ever.

By your logic, I should only be comparing Hurzelar with other 32 year old managers who have managed roughly two seasons, one in the German 2nd division and one in the Premier League.......

................I've had a quick look but it seems that there is no-one to compare him too.
Mmmmm..... my logic is simply that your assumption that being like Fergy is the only way to succeed is incorrect.

You don't have to be a caller outer to be successful. Wenger and Ancelotti spring to mind.
Also, it is best to call out when (1) everyone is already brilliant and on side (2) you are calling out a player that is going to be dropped/sold or (3) you are not in charge of a team of so-so players who just aren't firing as a collective.

And the greatest caller outer ever (aside from Troy) was of course John Sitton.

So your exception isn't a rule. It is simply part of the way some successful managers work.
For a bit. The clifftop over which Maureen has fallen is precipitous.

(Going all Robbie Savage here): who was the greatest military leader: Alexander the Great, Monty, Patten, or Churchill?

Anyway, here is some Sitton for you:

I did not state that the only way to succeed was to be like Fergie. Merely that it has worked for the most successful managers. Granted it's a different era now and him and Pep have a lot more clout than our Fab.

I'm not sure that Fab has the gravitas to put people in their place. Welbeck felt the need to without calling out individuals. Our Fab talks in dull platitudes.

You are of course correct.

It saddens me a bit, but the manager is toast now I suspect.

The process is owned by Tony Bloom, and it is still his blue and white army.

I thought Solly’s comments were just as interesting - ‘nothing seems to be working for us at the moment’ to me implies a tactical issue and ‘[giving away] cheap goals is maybe a thing, and that’s everyone, not just defenders that’s attackers, and set pieces, it seems to be the same story every week’ implies a lack of discipline, organisation and - linked to Welbeck’s comment - individual’s not doing their jobs.

Mbuemo’s goal to make it 2-1 is one of the worst I’ve seen recently. A catalogue of can’t-be-fuckedness from the back 4 + keeper. Midfield gave up as well. No plan of where that ball was going, no plan to step up and play offside, obligatory deflection off Dunk and a sympathetic dive from Verbruggen.

An insult to the fans. Born from poor mgmt and coaching. I think FH has lost the players.
