Rubbish the last few games. Just not cut out to play right back. Frustrating that we lose some of mintehs effectiveness when he plays as he spends half the game defending

It’s fair to say he’s not been at his best against Villa or Palace, but they’re both decent teams (Villa particularly) and young players are not going to give the consistency that Veltman can at 33.

He’s also playing in what is effectively his second position. He hasn’t been rubbish, he’s still done a lot of good work, but I’d agree the last two matches haven’t been his best.

Minteh would have been where he was even with Veltman on the pitch, as even Veltman can’t cover two by himself.

Credit to Jack for having done so well that we notice when he drops from the performances he’s been putting in each week, don’t stick the knife in just because there’s been a couple of matches where he’s found things a bit tougher. He’s doing a job for the team with neither Veltman or Ferdi available. Credit where it’s due.

In fairness, Minteh spent most of the game defending when we had our best defensive RB playing every week…

He’s not been at the level he was last season when we were forced to use him at RB, when he was arguably better than the recognised RBs.

It’s just one of those positions where we’ve had horrendous injury luck. Veltman, Lamptey and Ferdi all our seemingly long term doesn’t leave us much option.

He had a great game in midfield against Newcastle so it’s a shame he is having to fill in at right back. I guess Veltman isn’t close to a return?

Looking very leggy now. Not really his fault that Ferdi, Lamptey and Veltman are all made of glass though.

I thought he struggled yesterday not having Van Hecke alongside him. I think he felt less comfortable alongside a much slower centre back. When Van Hecke is there he feels more comfortable to move further forward.

Not sure that got all that much to do with it. He looked like a robot last week as well. Heavy, stiff legs desperately trying to keep track of some pacy winger. Imo, he has played too much football this season.

He’s a centre midfielder. Mad that we spend £100m’s and are left with this exact same scenario time and time again.

Leicester, Forest etc specifically target that side for 90 minutes.
To be fair we did sign someone to play at RB, but he's played 6 games total and been out injured since the start of November.

He didn't get a lot of help today.
The average punter won't have noticed this, Dunk was getting caught out of position, very little support from Minteh. How come Minteh was given so long when we needed some quality, March could have been brought on much earlier, I don't think Fab rates March, it always appears to be a last throw of the dice when he puts him on. Hinsh will be fine.
