He scored 6 and missed 3 in games for us.My memory must be faulty because I read something I wrote on FB the other day from three or four years ago. If you want a good penalty give it to a German.
@Stato have you got any stats please?

Thank you. I knew Pedro was way out in front.Transfermarkt lists players penalty records. Click on the names for the link. For Brighton:
Mac Allister 6/7
Gross 6/9
Joao Pedro 15/16 (and he scored from the rebound on the one that was saved).
Especially one he took at the Amex against Palarse. All their keeper needed to do, was bend down and pick the ball up!Really? Remember him being good at many things but not penalties. Missed a fair few and never looked convincing when he did score
Fixed for you!I was quite good when they had those little ones in bookies...*
*Come to think about it, they were pencils, not pens, as I used to use them for my golf scoring!
Crap AND incorrect gag then...!![]()

Muzza and Bobby Z were bang average penalty takers. Absolutely nowhere near the levels of Pedro. From my time watching the Albion both Joao Pedro and Tomer Hemed are hands down the best two penalty takers at the club. though l find it impossible to choose between them
Prior to that Muzza and Bobby Z were pretty successful, and the only two others who seemed to score more than they missed were Watto, and Alan Curbishley back in our Goldstone days. When l sarted watching the club back in the mid 1980's Danny Wilson was the man given the role, and he did pretty well too.
We have had many others who have had the task too of course, but who has stood out for you?
Not only his stats in taken them, he does a pretty mean Zaha impression to win a fair few.1st. Pedro
2nd. Hemed
3rd Knight
Those wanting to drive Joao Pedro to various UCL club destinations I reckon might be thinking differently next season when we go back to missing 1 in 3 of the penalties we get
Well, he certainly has made it to the ball fractionally before his opponent a few timesNot only his stats in taken them, he does a pretty mean Zaha impression to win a fair few.
I was a very successful pen taker in my early bookie days. They started chaining them though. From my time watching the Albion both Joao Pedro and Tomer Hemed are hands down the best two penalty takers at the club. though l find it impossible to choose between them

Murray used to give me a near heart attack every time he took a pen. I seem to remember he rolled it into a corner , but unlike J.Pedro he didn't look to see which way the keeper was going before doing so.Muzza and Bobby Z were bang average penalty takers. There was an article in the Athletic recently analysing Pedro's technique where Glen Murray said that his record was about 7.5 out of 10 and he never bothered practising them "because you can't recreate that pressure scenario", while he also praised Pedro's near 9.5/10 record (who practices them every training session). The mind boggles, honestly.
