I wait with interest the viewing experience on Saturday. I have a vision of people going to and fro getting refills while game is on which maybe what club wants.
Watching beamback in hospitality lounges was perfect and if they used 3 of them a lot more could be seated.

the screens are 10ft up and wrap around the entire venue. There's 3 x massive LED screens in high def showing the game at the same time. Its quite the view . Of course it will help if we actually show up at Selhurst...otherwise it could be a bit of a muted afternoon.

As one of the moaners from Saturday I will put my hand up and say it was much better last night.

I'm not interested in all the bullshit going on inside and the music, but getting a round by pre-ordering on the app was smooth and quick, and was able to take them outside into the sunshine and chat with mates.

Why are our marketing team so formulaic and predictable? What happened to originality? Everything is designed with the supposed family customer in mind, and it is shit.

I have no idea what it means to be a Brighton and Hove Albion fan now. I used to. I used to know that it meant that we stood for something and that we wouldn't be druv! That we'd stand up for everyone in football.

It's still my club and my team but all this corporate nonsense and chasing money is a barrel of shit.

I am quite relaxed about it.
I would NEVER go to such a place but I can't begrudge those who would.
Plus it means fewer people in my preferred pre-match venue.

I have parking for the Palace Beamback and was waiting for more tickets to go on sale so I could go. But having read the comments about The Terrace on here, I don't think it's for me. Hope they run the old lounges pie and a pint option alongside in future.

The beam back will be a totally different experience/atmosphere to match days.

Can’t disagree with that Harry, but we seem to be exposed to the same marketing bullshit unoriginality everywhere else.

For example, last night I would love us to have the wit to announce the teams onto the pitch by saying, “Please welcome FA Cup finalists Aston Villa and you’re very own Brighton & Hove Albion.”

Little touches like that would be mildly humourous but I’m sure the safe Heineken zero induced marketing team would be worried about insulting someone.

Or what about the club subsidising the twenty is plenty campaign no matter what the price of away tickets.

And people will say, “but football is a business Hammy.” Well, we’ve let it become a business. A business which happily takes thousands of pounds out of our pockets through tickets, tv subscriptions and over priced merchandise.

It doesn’t have to be that way. It doesn’t and shouldn’t be unaffordable to people on low incomes. It’s the national game for Christ’s sake.

And wouldn’t it be great if a club with a history that saw it nearly go to the wall, but which garnered the support of fans from all quarters, stood up and campaigned against this shit.

We have become the same as the others, or are becoming so.

But, it’s still my club.

As i've said before - a mate who is coming to Selhurst and will be no doubt be stuck behind a pillar and experiencing the lovely Croydon welcome , and the crumbling Arthur wait too - has had a drink in the Terrace and truly wishes he was there on Saturday rather than Croydon.

The club could have put a Rediffusion set on an old tea chest and sold a few cans of warm Watneys and you’d still be saying it was the best experience bar the Superbowl.

The multiple large LED screens are the best i've ever seen for watching a football match. Anywhere. Truly impressive. I watched about 5 mins post match of the Liverpool game whilst waiting last night to catch up witih my group and leave for home..

The screens are really good, they are at a height that short people like me at the back could see them. Although I didn't have a crowd of 6ft 4 people in front of me to properly test it!. I'll comment again after the Brentford beamback. The screens outside are very clear to the point my phone kept picking up the QR code when trying to take a pic on the walk from the station.

It's just trial & error at the moment. They're clearly taking on feedback, as the collection point has already been expanded. Perhaps the lager sellers can add to the sign to say what they're selling & I'll have the Budweiser queue to myself (didn't even know they sold Bud!).
When returning post match we bought our drinks on the concourse to wander down with, then purchased the others at the 'bar'.

I don't remember the music being very loud on Sat, we could still talk. If the DJ is saying things like 'everyone bounce', he does indeed need to be told that it's not a Birthday party for an 18 year old or a rave tent at a festival.
Music wise to put together a set list for such a diverse crowd would be very difficult. To have to do it post match after a loss, is even harder. He/she has to keep it upbeat, but not so upbeat that you feel it's an oppo teams DJ taking the p*ss. I don't imagine it's an easy gig especially with a p**sed off crowd. To get really 'deep' there's a bit of psychology about it. Music can invoke emotions. Playing London Calling after we've beaten Palace or Chelsea is fine (it's a home fans bar), playing it if they've beaten us, is not fine.

I was told earlier that there were a few Forest fans in there on Sat post match. That's a difficult one to deal with, away fans are allowed to mingle post match on our concourses generally without any trouble. How can the line be drawn so that The Terrace doesn't become a free for all post match but not need top security clearance to get into for us. Maybe just a couple of signs saying 'Home Fans Only' would be a good start.
