To the BBC website: "We made our bed and we have to lie in it. It's not good enough," said Welbeck. "There have been so many of these performances throughout the season. We need to play far more collectively. Fight for each other more. It was evident that we weren't doing that."

When one of the leaders in the dressing room says that publicly, knowing the impact it will have, it's pretty clear that there are problems. It sounds like there needs to be a players' meeting with some plain speaking from the senior players.

Sussex but not by the sea
No, there doesn’t. However, I’d expect the senior executives at this football club to be seeking the opinion of SENIOR pros as to the standard of the current management team. If I were Bloom etc I’d want to know the opinion of the likes of Welbeck, Dunk, March, Mitoma, etc. I’d be far less interested in the opinions of Ayari or f***ing Gruda.

Weir etc will be speaking to senior players very often.

Well do it then

Platitudes

Nonsense

Team work makes the dream work. etc.

There's no 'I' in team.

It's all just bollocks.

If you look at the table at the end of the season the quality of the players and, to a much lesser extent, their character available to the teams, will be a fair representation.

Welbeck is an exception. An absolute professional of the highest level .... But he's not looking at getting a 300% payrise next season.

For me this really puts into context all this talk “oh we are on course for our third best season ever blah blah”

Welbeck is saying to the world - no, we are underperforming our potential as a team.

All season as well he mentions, not just this run.
So that’s it, from the camp.
From our number one model pro.
No blaming injuries.
No excuses.
We’ve underperformed this season.

He looked flat/despondent as well.

Solly also saying what fans have said.

Basic errors on set pieces.

Both players being real. Manager talking in cliches and psycho babble

I bloody well love Danny Welbeck

He's an absolute gentleman and a leader of the highest level.
Was saying to a mate in the pub yesterday how incredible it is that when people talk about Danny Welbeck's career it's his association with us that'll get discussed the most.

We got to stop all this bullshit win as a team loose as a team, start pointing the finger at players who are making the mistakes, starting with the goalie, been making mistakes for months, manager just says we have to learn from our mistakes but obviously they don't, Pedro needs proper hair dryer treatment, manager stopped a player playing for being late to the game a while back, so Pedro needs to be punished accordingly, not just the 3 games he's going to get, hopefully it's the last we see of him.
