So the only thing of benefit here to Ukraine is that the proposed agreement says they could join the EU. But that’s not in Trump’s power to offer or decide on. The agreement therefore offers nothing to Ukraine and everything to the aggressor
Its a total surrender/capitulation deal for Ukraine, where Trump gets to feed.on their carcass too.

Art of the appeasement

Thanks. It just feels like we need to reset our mental model of what US diplomacy can achieve. Myself included, I’m regularly having to remind myself that Trump and his team are buffoons and their current plan is going nowhere fast.
Very good video from Times Radio.

I absolutely loved the hypothetical? question from Ursula von der Leyen to Trump:

'Would you like to be a part of this?' (referring to the proposed enormous investment in defence). This question is so loaded. It has so much meaning, and so many implications.

Trump is being offered a way back from the failure of his deal. He is being invited into the fold, which by default, won't be on Russia's side. He isn't being offered a leading role. He will be a junior partner. The major partners will be European (sans UK, unless the EU agrees).

The soft power and the ascent of Europe.

Another example of other countries filling the Trump-sized vacuum.

I knew I had seen the name 'Moscow City' or 'Moskva City' a few days ago. It's out to the west of the centre, containing a few skyscrapers.

This is apparently another attack which couldn't be prevented by anti-aircraft defences. Only this time, it was in Moscow.

Now Ukraine has proof of concept. One of the replies on the Kirzhach attack post suggested we will now see increased hostilities. I'm inclined to agree.

I would go as far as to say that the US involvement in Ukraine regards peace initiatives is meaningless. I don’t believe anyone takes him seriously so it’s just a lot of hot air.

Good. Finally. f*** off.

When they realise they’re not getting their hands on Ukrainian resources and land.

What "on the ground work..." ffs, neither Witkoff nor Vance have been to Ukraine, whereas admittedly Witkoff is off to party with Putin for the 4th time.
Shameful.

And WHAT exactly does Russia give up 'that it currently owns", Vance, you enormous piece of shit?
Russia doesn't own any of Ukraine, a thief doesn't own what he's taken.
Please, please you malevolent US team of appeasers...just pull out and make your deals with Putin.

Hang in past the intros, and Pearce talks of a major hit on Yaluga (spelling?) Shahed drone manufacturing factory - apparently five of six Ukrainian drones got through the air "defence" to hit it. Hope it's as good as it sounds.

About 2/3 way through, Pearce says the US has just closed the department that had been compiling Russian war crimes against Ukraine; and remember they had already closed the department that had (successfully) been helping to identify and return some of the stolen children.

It's clear that Trump policy is to COVER UP Russian war crimes, to say they never happened, so they're no embarrassment to him as he follows his path of 'Putin's Apprentice ' (a nice quote from Jonathan Fink of Silicon Curtain).

Statement from Yulia Svyrydenko, deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, at the beginning of today's meeting in London 👏🏼👏🏼
"
As Ukraine’s delegation meets with partners in London today, we reaffirm a principled position: Ukraine is ready to negotiate—but not to surrender.

There will be no agreement that hands Russia the stronger foundations it needs to regroup and return with greater violence. A full ceasefire—on land, in the air, and at sea—is the necessary first step. If Russia opts for a limited pause, Ukraine will respond in kind.

Our people will not accept a frozen conflict disguised as peace. We will never recognize the occupation of Crimea. And if NATO membership is not granted, Ukraine will require binding security guarantees—ones strong enough to deter future aggression, and clear enough to ensure lasting peace"

Frequent evidence of swathes of Moscow ablaze, and I might be convinced that there is a god.
